Environmentally Sensitive Species: The Ocelot

An environmentally sensitive species is on that can only survive within a narrow range of environmental conditions and any change can lead to their death and/or their extinction. Leopardus pardalis also known as the Ocelot is just one of many environmentally sensitive species in Trinidad and Tobago, which had been appointed as such under section 41 of the Environmental Management Act 2000. Ocelots are medium-sized, Neotropical and spotted and have the following properties: a body weight of 24 to 35 pounds, a body length of 70 to 100cm and a tail length of 27 to 45cm. These largely nocturnal cats occupy their keen sight and hearing to hunt animals such as rabbits, iguanas, fish and even frogs. Get to know me!

  Hi! Kristen here and I am excited for you all to get to know me.  Rarely do I  ponder about who I am….my interests, passions and even my goals ,  instead of  spending time thinking or even dreaming I just tend to be spontaneous.  However, this has proven to be bad sometimes, so this time I am going to ask myself this ….. Who am I?  When I was in primary school I had an obsession with planning my entire life down to every detail. I would plan exactly what I’m going to eat every morning for breakfast, where I would go to college, when I would get married and even what I’d be doing when I retire. Could you believe that? At only 10 years old.  However ,  when I  entered secondary school something traumatic in my life happened and after that dreadful day I made a promise to myself that I would live every day to the fullest and refrain from worrying, thinking and stressing about every detail of my life and it wasn’t long before I adopted a s...
